While discomfort may vary from person to person, most individuals experience minimal pain during the procedure. Topical anaesthetic is applied to reduce any discomfort. OPTIONAL PRE-CONSULTATION You may book a free consultation before your appointment if you'd like extra reassurance. This is optional, as everything will be explained on the day. Feel free to message via email, Instagram, or Facebook with any questions beforehand. PATCH TEST A patch test must carried out at least 48 hours before treatment. It can be sent to you or done at the salon. CONSULTATION ON THE DAY You’ll complete a consultation form on arrival, covering medical info and consent. A verbal consultation will follow to walk you through each step and answer questions. PRE-DRAW We’ll map out your desired shape, style, and pigment before tattooing. This can take up to an hour and is tailored to your facial features. Note: Brows are sisters, not twins. Tattoo lines may shrink 10–20% once healed, so we draw slightly larger. No tattooing begins until you’re completely happy. TREATMENT Once the design is approved, the procedure begins. Expect the colour to appear darker initially—it will fade 20–40% over 7–14 days. AFTERCARE Aftercare will be explained, and you’ll receive a leaflet and products to take home. Following these instructions is crucial for the best results. RE-TOUCH SESSION One re-touch is included, scheduled 6–8 weeks after your first session.
  • Why do I need a top-up?
A top-up (also called a re-touch) is essential to perfect your results. After the initial treatment, some pigment may fade or heal unevenly as your skin recovers. The top-up session—usually done 6–8 weeks later—allows us to: Adjust shape, colour, or definition Fill in any areas where pigment didn’t retain fully Ensure long-lasting, even results Some skin types (like oily or sensitive skin) may need more than one top-up for the best outcome. Following aftercare instructions also plays a big role in how well the pigment heals.
  • Will the colour change after the treatment?
Yes, the pigment will appear much darker and more intense right after your treatment. This is temporary. Over the next 7–14 days, as your skin heals: The colour will soften and fade by about 20–40% The final shade will look more natural and subtle Slight changes in tone may occur based on your skin type, undertones, and how well aftercare is followed This is why a top-up session is important—to perfect the final colour once the skin has fully healed.
  • What will I expect after my procedure?
Immediately after the treatment you may experience some mild swelling and redness, which will subside between 2 – 4 hours. Most normal activities can be resumed immediately after the procedure. The treated area will look considerably darker about 30-50% for a few days after and as the skin heals and rejuvenates, the colour will soften and lighten, revealing a more natural desired look.

  • Lips healing process
After your lip treatment, it’s normal for the colour to appear more intense and for your lips to be slightly swollen for a few days. Within about 5 days, any flaky skin will shed, and the true colour will gradually develop over the following 6 weeks. The immediate colour intensity depends on the pigment chosen—natural nude shades will look vibrant but won’t be bright red. To ensure the best healing, avoid sun exposure, facials, chlorine, saunas/steam rooms, and heavy makeup for at least 10 days. Also, wait at least 4 weeks before having lip injections, fillers, or laser treatments in the lip area.

Individual lash extensions need to be removed prior treatment. Allow 2 weeks post treatment before re applying. We cannot tattoo your eye if you have any false lashes on your natural lashes.
  • How long will it take to heal?
A few days following the procedure, a light crust will form over the treated area and it may feel quite itchy. During this time the area will look a lot darker, but over the next few days this crust will flake off and is common for the colour to lighten by up to 50%. You will receive a healing balm which should be used 4 times daily on the treated area for 7-10 days. You will need to avoid water on the treated area for the duration of the healing, including sweat, so it is advised to limit gym use for around a week after your treatment.

If you balance out the cost against the lasting results Permanent Makeup gives you, the treatments offer great value.
